first "invented" by Alan Moore in Swamp Thing #37.
The most
celebrated issues of Hellblazer were written by Garth Ennis (issues
41-83 and 129-133). Steve Dillon was the illustrator for issues 62-83.
Ennis and Dillon later collaborated on Preacher and Punisher. Their
early work includes Judge Dredd from 2000 A.D.
