Kangaroos in Murramarang National Park09/15/2007
Rasmus Skat and I went down to Murramarang National Park this week. We spent two days at the Durras Lake North Holiday Park. There were lots of kangaroos in the garden right outside our cottage. Many of the females had small joeys in their pouches (see 'roo on the left). I counted 45 kangaroos in the lawn yesterday. We spent our days walking in the forests and along the Durras Beach to Depot Beach. At night we BBQ'ed some lamb and watched the stars, the Milkyway and the Magellanic clouds.
This is a picture of the Holiday Park. Our cottage is right behind the tallest tree. The 'roos seemed to mind their own business and didn't care too much about us walking by and taking some photographs.
